Villa Description

• Discerning guests approach the Villa from a stone landing platform with steps leading from the water’s edge and leading through the marvellous and highly manicured landscaped lakeside gardens. They feature finely trimmed and tapered cypress trees and a stone water fountain, which leads to a flight of stone steps, taking guests to the Villa’s formal stone entrance.
• A grand entrance hall welcomes guests and features original inlaid honey coloured Sienese marble floor, original working fireplace and an elegant stone staircase with a stylised wrought iron hand rail which twists and turns effortlessly to the floors above.
• The formal drawing room is approached from the hallway and provides sumptuous seating for up to 16 people and features an exquisite original beamed ceiling, beautiful parquet flooring and an original marble fireplace.
• Situated adjacently to the formal dining room is a luxurious bathroom as well as a butler’s pantry which leads to the Villa’s fully-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.
• The Bedroom Suites on the First Floor

• The Bedroom suites to the first floor comprise the Master Suite, the Lilac Suite, the Blue Bedroom and the Terrace Bedroom.
• The sumptuous ‘Master Suite’ provides guests with a luxurious king-size bed, original fireplace, parquet flooring and a private balcony overlooking the lake and beautiful gardens.
• The ‘Lilac Suite’ provides guests with a queen-size bed, an antique writing desk, parquet flooring throughout with views overlooking the lake and gardens and access to a luxurious marble en-suite bathroom with shower.
• The ‘Blue Bedroom’ features a king-size bed which can be separated if desired, with a fireplace, marble en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower and views over the pretty courtyard to enjoy.
• The ‘Terrace Bedroom’ situated opposite the ‘Blue Bedroom’ also provides a king-size bed which can be separated if required as well as original stone flooring, a marble en-suite bathroom with shower and double sink vanity area and a wonderful lake view balcony.
• The Studio Suite on the Second Floor
• On the second floor of Villa La Cassinella, there is a further bedroom suite ideal for accommodating children and hired help, and comprises of a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and an en-suite luxury marble bathroom with spacious shower, sunflower shower head, skylight, a double sink vanity area and views overlooking the Villa’s courtyard and upper terrace.
• There is also an informal sitting roomwith sofas, an antique writing desk, fireplace and original wooden floors.
• The 'Terrace House'
• Within the landscape grounds a detached character property of the same style and age of Villa La Cassinella and known as the ‘Terrace House’ is situated. To the ground floor a luxurious lake view sitting room with Sat TV with access to 1500 channels and a well stocked library of movies and DVD's is situated.
• Stairs lead to the first floor of the ‘Terrace House’ which provides guests with a second sitting room, a Kitchen with breakfast bar and garden access and access via an external stairway to two loft floor double bedrooms with king-size beds (which can be separated if required); one provides access onto a large shared balcony and the second provides an en-suite bathroom with luxurious bathtub and hand held shower.
• The Estate Grounds
• Outdoors guests can fully enjoy the 3 hectares of wonderful lake view gardens which feature a breathtaking and highly romantic Loggia which will ensure many unforgettable 'al-fresco' dining experiences. There are a series of idyllic terraces, perfect for relaxation and contemplation, as well as many winding pathways which lead through the manicured ground. Let your senses explore the jasmine blossom, climbing wisteria, colourful azaleas, clipped boxwood hedges, the famous Cypress trees and the wonderful plane tree expertly trimmed in the manner of Villa Balbianello.
• Villa La Cassinella is centrally situated on the breathtaking Lake Como, just 20km north of the cosmopolitan city of Como, so is can be conveniently accessed. A country path takes guests into the pretty nearby village of Lenno, if they prefer to walk and a private boat service forms the only method of transport to and from the Villa.

Accommodating up to 14 people, the Villa is open all year round and is available for weekly rentals, long weekends & events.

No wonder Como is, and always has been, the choice retreat for artists and noblemen alike, it would inspire the most prosaic of souls. An enthusiastic chef who loves height & drama on a plate; a genuine gastronomist, his immaculate kitchen can cook up banquet-style spreads that would impress the most discriminating of gourmets. But he is just as happy to prepare Italian home cooking as he is to serve the finest Beluga caviar or lobster risotto!

 

Meaningful luxury is definately in the detail: triple-sheeted beds with Rivolta Carmignani's finest Italian linens, changed daily on the handmade Vi-Spring mattresses. Chocolates for the bedrooms are from Galler, Belgium and luxurious bathroom toiletries from Chopard, Switzerland.

Within the 30,000 sqm of the estate's gardens, there is also an outdoor floodlit tennis court with an all-weather artificial grass surface for you to enjoy. The beautifully manicured gardens of Villa Cassinella are most famous for their extremely tall Cypress trees and large lawns.
